Hello peoples. First time poster long time browser. I had some time this weekend and I finally finished up the rework of a high poly sculpt of a Tyrannosaurus Rex i have been making in my spare time. The model was Initially made with dynamesh for a facebook art contest put on by Stan Winston School of Character Arts for dinosaur fan art. Sadly I did not place in the finals however, the experience was most rewarding. In my spare time I really wanted to try my hand at a few new practices. So i decimated the original sculpt and brought it into 3DS Max to experiment with the graphite modeling tools for retopo (This was before the glory of zRemesher :P). After retopo (the model is around 10k tris) I laid out Uv’s and reprojected my original sculpt in Zbrush. I found that i really wanted to take the sculpt to the next level. So I smoothed out the higher levels and started again. I finished sculpting and the went and re-polypainted as well. My goal is to bake out some maps and get this bad boy rigged and in a game engine and play with dx11 deformation. I hope you enjoy.
Good job! Looks great Very nice details
Thanks ANedrehagen! I am glad you like it.
nice model, your t-rex kind of remind me of “Clash of the Dinosaur” T-Rex.
Thanks V-Rex_Freak.
