Ok after my alpha madness I have decided to make some weapons using what I have experimented with.
Heres the little sword I made.

Those are cool. Are they all ZBrush, or did you create the base meshes independently?

Pure zbrush no subtools
Not that I don’t like subtools but I prefer having the challenge of 1 mesh
you should try and render those in mental or vray, that would look amazing!
Ya Im cooking a disp map now.
Takes SOOOO long now with a 6 million poly object to make a disp map.
While that cooks on my other computer I made this wip

Hey, these look great. You should do a tutorial specifically for making weapons like this using your technique.
I made a few weapons myself in Lightwave and I used Illustrator to plan the polygons (you’d be surprised with what you can do with Illustrator). Because you can import Illustrator files in Lightwave, you can set things up nicely.
I really should try to use Zbrush for this one day.
Looking forward to your tutorial.
Cheers,
Revanto
PS: Thanks for the opportunity of making that tutorial last time for me but I managed to get my friend to do it for me. Check out www.mixmash.com.au in the tutorials section for the tutorial. My friend added a twist onto my technique. I like his version better. Sadly, with Zbrush 3, the tutorial may seem outdated…
