way to snap sculpture view to photograph?

Is there a way to snap a size and position of a sculpture to the view I am looking at in spotlight? As a portrait artist this would really help my work flow. I have written about this in our mudbox book but not sure how to accomplish the same thing in zbrush. Any help would be appreciated.

You can create Camera keys with the sizes and positions you want using Timeline and then simply switch between keys.

OH, I think that might work. I could have probably thought through it, but yes, I think this will work. I’ll give it a try today.

Thank you,

If I use timeline to give me the size and the view of the sculpture, how do I keep the photograph at the same size as the sculpture if it is in timeline?

It would be nice if we had the option to tie in Spotlight to the camera, but unfortunately, we don’t. (nudge, nudge, wink, wink Pixologic).

Yes, that would make my portrait sculpting so much easier. I’m putting that on my wish list.

thanks for all of your help.

If all your needing is reference views, then maybe Image Plane 4 would suit your needs.

oh, thanks for that.
My use of zbrush is probably so different than most. I’m not sculpting to keep it in the computer but must get it out and I incorporate both the digital tools and the traditional tools in the studio into tra-digi art. As I did with the panther bronze sculpture. http://www.prairieviewpanther.blogspot.com Most of my work is paid commissions and I’m looking forward to using zbrush and mudbox as well as other tools, to get mass to work on in the traditional studio. Much easier comparing these photographs in mudbox or zbrush and flipping around my image than standing on my head down in the traditional studio.

Thanks for your help. Greatly appreciate it.
