Very nice work ! getting very interesting!
looking forward to the final scene!
Thank you everyone!!
Here“s an update on the village/castle, added to the render.
Im done with the basemeshes, it look okay as it is but im going to
do a zbrush pass to see If I can get some cool details in there.
Cya soon!
the castle/village youāve added looks great. i think you go the right way with this work. now iām waiting for stunning details
wow, didnāt think that you would take it this far!!! Looks amazing thus far.
Why is the guys with the scroll hovering?? o.O hehe
Love it mate!! Are u gonna do a proper render with full textures on another software after??small_orange_diamond
wow, I just dropped in for a brief glimpse, and was very pleasantly surprised. This looks like is gonna be really great once its done. Please finish it or I will stop talking to you:p . But seriously I would love to see this piece totally completed. I do have a question for you, you may have already answered this so I apoligize if this was already addressed, but did you do the hair with ZB or did you create geo for that in an external program? Excellent work so far
This looks really cool and I have some things that I think you should know about that are bothering me.
the giants club looks like its caught on the horn of the bull and pulling its head down.
Is the giant talking to the gunner at the top of the wagon?
Also they are right near the edge of the hill, so wouldnāt that mean they are about to go down a very steep hill with all that gear? (just the way they are all angledā¦). I think you should rotate the background and hill around so that they donāt ride off it, and that way you can show off the scenery.
I guess you could put some mud under the guard and the giant (from previous travelers) so they can keep there positions in the composition and then not have to be placed on the ground and being obscured.
Also the size of the document everything is on⦠ā¦is this a movie scene? a poster? for television? I wanna see this on a wide document.
pretty awesome dude!!
all getting together !!

Very cool work g_arrow! Shaping up to be a great scene.
nice work wonderful
this is fantastic - Iām a huge Paul Bonner fan and youāre really doing him justice⦠generally Iām not into one to one 3d recreations of 2d images but this work is really complex and requires a lot of skill to do in 3d so props for that. Great job so far - already a top row item in my book!
Really nice job on this so farā¦Love the compostionā¦the way the background architecture leads into the main scene, and also the ground plane does the same thingā¦really connects and unites all the elements in the piece in a nice way.
Nice scale and depthā¦
Hi g-arrow, writing from iPhone in a hotel lobby in Miami. Finally got a decent Wi-fi to be able to post here. Looking amazing one advice Ill give you is not over detail the background, you might lose precious time on details that will blur away to oblivion after you add zdepth on your scene. Im dyimg to go back home and get on with my orky , again best of luck on your amazing piece /hugs
Al.Tintop Thank you!
remcv8 Im taking it all the way man! Im going for the full scene!
meletis He is hoovering because the ground isnt done yet And no I will not do any texturing, I have ignored uv“s all the way in this project. I will do a render in Maya with only lighting and grayshaded, then I am going to paint it over in Photoshop.
Mostly because I think this way is more fun.
Vsions Thank you! I will finish it, Im sure of it, its still so much fun!
I did the hair using Mayas painteffects. I would have done it in ZB but its kinda tricky right now.
SadamHu Thank you for you feedback! Im doing a 3d recreation of an existing image.
So what you see here is pritty much how its going to end up regarding placement of things.
The giants club is suppose to pull the head down on the bull, and he is not talking hes just giving the Evil eye to the gunner
I going to do some muddy ground for them to stand on, its on my todo-list.
And the document is a Poster I guess. Im just doing this for my own learning, and for you all to enjoy!
weiluntsai Thank you!
denzil40 Thank you!
hypnotik Thank you!
Intervain Wow, having you visit this thread means alot to me. Ive seen alot of your awesome work and I love it all! Thank you for your very kind comments!
SpiritDreamer Thank you!
Sathanael Thanks man, Thats a good advice, I will have that in mind when adding details, Just adding larger details is the way to go in this case!
Cya all again soon!
Sound cool enough mate!
Your work is Execelent!! congratulations!!!
Keep going
Excellent work, neat sculpting, great fidelity to the original picture. The results on the beards are amazing. Five stars and top row for me! Canāt wait to see more!
RegaRDsss
Hello again. Thank you guys for the comments!
Ive been adding details to the background and started with the ground today.
Im not satisfied by how the ground looks right now, so I will go back for that later.
I thought I move on instead of getting stuck on it, if I leave it for a while It will most likely be better when I try again.
By the way if anyone wonders, the sword on the downright part of the image is going to lean on a stone.
Here is an update!
Each update impresses me even more! Good job man! How many polys in your ztool right now???
Well, I dont have everything it the same ztool. Every element has its own ztool, The caravan is one tool, the ground has its tool, and so on.
Then im posing all up and export it as decimated meshes from ZB.
So the image you see here is a rendered mayascene with everything collected together.
But if you want numbers, this mayascene is about 6 million triangles. And the pure sculpts all together is about 80 millions I think.
