Wacom Tablets: Which one?

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking to get a tablet, however, after looking around I am considering the following candidates with two different sizes: [Wacom Intuos3 4 x 6-Inch Pen Tablet](http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-Intuos3-6-Inch-Format-PTZ431W/dp/B000I62PEU/ref=cm_cr_pr_sims_i) or

Wacom Intuos3 6 x 8-Inch Pen Tablet

I run dual monitor: 22" and 19" size and I will be using it exclusively for sculpting in Zbrush. Based on your experience, which size is better to be used in Zbrush?

The 6 x 8 has buttons on the right hand side, not sure what I will be using those buttons for since, I will be holding the pen all the time and using my left hand to press the buttons.

Since is pressure sensitive, does the smooth brush works well with the different pen pressure?

Any other comments is appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

I have a 4x6 and it works great. I never used the buttons up top. (I just pressed one and had to retype this ).

I think all Wacoms are pressure sensitive, so you don’t need to adjust the intensity all the time. It helps give a more natural feel. I doubt you could go wrong with either one, though. Just make sure you don’t lose the pen like I did or you’re screwed.

The Intuos certainly is a great graphics tablet and that’s what I use, but if you want to save yourself some money, you may want to look at the VisTablet.

You can purchase this 12 x 10 tablet for $89 at journeyed.com and it has the same amount of pressure sensors as the Wacom for around a third of the price.

If this would have been around when I was looking for a graphics tablet, I definitely would have bought it.

You can always buy a new Wacom pen.

I say step up and get yourself a Cintiq! I have a 20wsx and I use all the buttons.

Thank you all for your kind and helpful replies.

4 x 6 ?
I’m planning to get one mainly to sculpt characters, like wrinkles and face pores and painting, mainly for Zbrush use.
Can you tell me how it feels when using such tablet size? Should I go with the 6 x 8 ? I am afraid if the 4 x 6 is too small…

Vistablet? Sounds a good alternative for price and size…
Is that a good one? How long have you been using
Checking the VisTablet…

Unfortunately I can’t afford more than the wacom intuos3 6 x 8 price tag, otherwise I would have certainly go with the Cintiq 12WX
