Wacom: Intuos or Cintiq?

My inquiry primarily is the decision between an Intuos or Cintiq tablet. I have used a Wacom tablet before but do not currently own one right now but plan to purchase either an Intuos 4 medium or Cintiq 12. Thing is I was wanting some input on the Cintiq 12 and how viable this option is, drawing on screen. Also is the display large enough to use the ZBrush UI well?

I`ll vote on Intuos + Large screen Monitor

the small Cintiq isn`t really large enough to be effective, I only ended up looking back at the Monitor

since it`s practically a LCD as well, it got shorter life span

Also, current Cintiq is working on Intuos3`s input system

Thanks for the input. I was leaning toward the Intuos 4.

I use the Cintiq 21 on my desktop and have 12WX as a lapboard I take with my laptop computer. I wouldn’t use a 12WX as my sole monitor, but as a lap-use sculpting surface, it gives a nice, intimate working environment. I also have a 9x12 Intuos3 which I use, but I find that working directly on the model is very productive, even in the limited space of a 12WX. (Keep in mind that for sculpting, you often don’t scale up the canvas to full screen on large monitors in order to keep performance snappy. So the 12WX doesn’t fair as bad as one might think . . .)
