Wacky Unpredictable clip and trim brush R6

I have no idea what is causing the weird behavior inside R6. I am simply trying to use the trim rectangle on a decimated sculpt. After that produced holes and did nothing like its supposed to I then went to try Clip curve and Clip Rectangle. All with odd results. Here are two images showing what happens. The top with the hand shows the Trim Rectangle. The image below shows the Clip Rectangle results. Something looking like an exploded mesh.

I have already tried rebooting and even using a USB flash drive to give me some more virtual RAM still with no luck. In the past I have not ran into this issue, now it will either crash Zbrush, or give me undesirable results. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the same thing on the non-decimated version? Zbrush doesn’t play nice with triangles, it prefers quads in a lot of tools and brushes. I would run the trim brush on the non-decimated version and then just decimate your changes.
