I haven’t been able to find any detailed descriptions of how to use Zbrush with Vue 6. I would want to use ZBrush objects in a Vue scene with textures/colors intact.
Anyone used ZB with Vue or know of a tutorial out there?
Thanks.

3D World magazine had a tutorial about 10 issues back. It detailed importing a hero tree from Vue (OBJ format) into ZBrush, detailing it, and importing it back into Vue for render. I’ll try to dig it out and pass along the info. You might be able to find related info online as well. http://www.3dworldmag.com/
I looked through 3DWorld’s tutorial section and I didn’t see anything like you describe, but I did find a older one for Vue 5 by itself. If you recall the issue number of the one that has the ZBrush/Vue article, pass it on.
Thanks.
I have taken plenty of items into view the problem is getting them out, you’ll need one of the two hi-end products. esprit and easel wont let you export. take them in as obj’s with your maps. you can assign new materials in vue also.
I looked through many of my 3DWorld mags and couldn’t find the tut. I even looked at my Gnomon video (by Ethan Summers)…nothing. I know I’ve seen the tutorial somewhere, but I just can’t remember where. Anyway, if you can get your tree out of Vue, I’m sure the Vue community has posts on how to do it.
Googd luck!
Nice try. I appreciate the effort.
