I’m too lazy this couple of days to refine the sculpt. But to do at least something I’ve started a hair with Fibermesh. Here is a first pass. Obviously the hair is too uniform and boring, but overall shape is here. Now it is time to drink a cup of tea and start to work on separate clumps. The color and shader are temporary of course (gosh, it takes so long to render on my old PC). Just did some tweaks in Photoshop to make the hair look more closer to the real prototype.
looking nice so far.waiting to see the final result.;)
Thank you!
If you are talking about the final render - well, it will not be finished in a nearest future. Cause I have a lot of stuff to do: finishing the head, making body and clothes, create a full environment and do lots of renders until it will look good. But in regard of the hair - I hope it will be finished soon. Though I’m not planning to make it very detailed right now due to several reasons: the final pose would be very different, requiring a lot of tweaking, plus I will be exporting the hair as a guides to Blender.
Here is a bit refined hair. I think that yellow doesn’t work very well with a grey color so I desaturated image. I also attached a bonus image. Lol, that’s a lot of polygroups
Men’s head, and the latest hair look good.
Thanks a lot
Only hair or a girl too? Her face still requires a lot of polishing (probably should be wider a bit plus overall features should be more defined). So it is good to know if someone have spotted any big flaws.
PS How is your project going? It was a while since I saw the last update from you.
I made two rush orders, so we had to postpone work on the project. In the coming days I will return to this.
Female head looks a liiiiiittle worse than men. In my opinion lacks realism in the relief of nasolabial folds and eye sockets, as well as the cheekbones.
Yeah, I was mentioning previously that some anatomical features in female model are still not defined. This is mainly because all the references I have were made with very soft frontal lighting which flattens the face a lot. As a result I cannot determine the shape of some features like nasolabial fold. I will search for better shots with more dramatic lighting and fix my sculpt.
All right then, will be awaiting for new stuff from you
Saw this and immediately thought of a friend of mine. Looks just like her, i mean literally exactly like her.
Awesome
Though when I start fixing her features to get better likeness and introduce a color she will probably lose resemblance with your friend.
Here is a link to short animation with my prototype. Who knows, maybe your friend is actually a model and you simply don’t know this fact

Just refining some facial features. Gosh, it is always so tedious - overall forms are here, but searching a good proportions to achieve attractive look might take a while. Sometimes shifting an eye or jaw-line at several millimeters might totally change the look. I’m still not getting the likeness and good portraiture. Something is wrong with cheek bones and mouth position. Eh, I need a rest. After looking at her for several hours I cannot judge the sculpt constructively
Hey buddy wassup??? the overall looks nice but I think you should work on two things:1) the eyelids look too thin ( of course this is my opinion.maybe they’re not but I think the eyeballs are popping out).maybe you can make them thicker or change the eyeballs positions.2) I know it’s a girl but the head is missing planes.you know it looks too smooth.I can’t see where the bones & fleshy parts are.hope these can help you.Keep it up & GOODLUCK my friend.;);)
Hi! Nice to see you I agree, I definitely should rework the eyelids cause they are too thin. I’m still tweaking the eye position hence I totally forgot about the eyelids thickness. And also I agree about the overall smoothness. To be honest I’m really confused with her facial features. In many references for fashion magazines she is lit with very soft lighting (plus probably it was photoshopped on top of it) so every time I introduce regular anatomy it conflicts with very soft look in references. Also, it appears that this model has very weak cheek-bones. In three-quarter view the contour of her cheek is pretty much flat and doesn’t have this distinct bump for zygomatic bone that almost any person has. I bet this is the reason why she looks straight in camera on many photos. Plus yet another problem - In my collection there are photos of her in different ages. She changed a lot from ~18 to 22, so I’m afraid that I’m mixing some features from different ages. That’s not good.
Uh, I think it would be wiser to just illustrate my problem. Here is a compilation of my references. I’m orienting more at those images with a bit messy hair (could be found on top of the image) http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2014/338/e/2/hannah_by_randomdudewatcher-d88ocwe.jpg Would be glad to hear any suggestions from other people too
Thank you, this is really motivating I’ll rest a bit and look at it with a fresh eye
Hello.
In the photo at the top right, and the second row from the bottom of the second with the right color photo: clearly visible relief of the face.
There will also be easy to achieve a good result if the light model as the third photo in the top row and turn it the same way.
Thanks a lot! I will do my best to achieve the better resemblance. Also I think I should use different material, something more close to the skin. This one is a bit too dark during sculpting and has too much of contrast (very sharp transitions from lit to shadowed areas). This makes a face visually narrower and masculine. Plus even very light brush strokes appear exaggerated. That’s probably a main reason why I already declined numerous changes to cheeks or mouth areas.
I hope that my next update would be better
LOL, just for fun . I strated sculpting my new character’s body and experimented a lot with proportions. The final hips would be different, but I liked this result too. I would call it a Bum in Chun Li Style:rolleyes:
Beautiful butt ! pretty solid form you captured there !
Nice feminine shapely bum!
Thank you so much, guys!
Yeah, the process of shaping female forms is so exciting that I can do it all day long
I can get the phone number of your model? small_orange_diamond:D
dryulya
Haha, thank you my friend I’ll ask her first is she OK to date with guys from Internet
