Vim Viva's Screencasts

Hello people,
I have recently started a video blog of thoughts, techniques and processes regarding concept art, using 2D and 3D tools. Since Zbrush is one of my two main tools (along with PS), many of my videos end up exploring the creative potential of this great program.
So I will use this thread to provide a link of those videos to the ZBrush community. I hope that you will find this journal useful.

To start things off, this is a little concept sketch I did, using ZBrush to establish an "undersketch"

Be warned that my accent in those videos is TERRIBLE! :td:
Feel free to ask questions regarding the videos. Also, if anyone knows to tell me how I can embed videos here, I will be grateful.
Thanks for watching.

Thanks for sharing. As a newbie I find it interesting, I don’t even own Zbrush yet but hope to make the purchase in the first week of Sept. I have been lurking around Zbrush Central since 2003 so this purchase is so long over due. Feels like Charlie finally getting a golden ticket

This is a 3D character concept, a 3D maquette, I created based on my 2D concept sketch.
If you are interested on the creation of the 2D concept sketch (non ZBrush) click HERE.

Here is my final model:

Nice!

That is one really nice model. Umm… I have… crud, I hate this… I have one little crit… umm… he would never be able to get his cowl off. The antlers are a little large and a little too much of an angle to for the hood to be pulled off.

Please, don’t let this make you think that I don’t like it… I truly do think this is a fantastic sculpt… just a small trouble (in my worthless opinion) with the antlers and the hood.

Have a blessed day,
-kmkenpo

Betamax: Thanks for stopping by. I hope you get ZB4. It is the most creative tool I have ever used.
Cezar Souza: Thank you
kmkenpo: Thank you for your comments and your reluctant but accurate crit. This character is a Weredeer, so he gets dressed or undressed while in his human form . -(probably I should add a lacing system for the hood to solve the problem)-

Your longbow stag…does he hunt people?

Good work all round. Like your style.

great stuff here man! Your style has a very Rugged earthy feel to it. Very Cool!

Why hasn’t someone remade the movie “Westworld” yet?

martym: lol, Thanks!

Gridlost: Thank you! I like rugged.

caffeineandpixels: That was indeed my inspiration for this concept. If you notice the 2d sketch has wires for hair, but in the end I decided to keep the final concept maquette bald, as tribute to Yul Brynner.
