Hi all. I am trying a simple tutortial. Using image Plane X with a texture applied, I am unable to make the sphere transparent so I can start shaping the sphere.

I think your following an old tutorial for Image Plane X that won’t work in ZBrush 4. Instead, use Image Plane 4 which you can get from the Download Center. After installing that, you will have a new submenu in the Texture palette called Image Plane. Open the submenu and click on the Help button for a description on how to set it up.
