Here’s a free video I’ve recorded showing how to translate an old matte painting and film technique of relighting, and converting it to photoshop for use with Zbrush renders. It lets you relight a render without re-rendering. I thought it may help some people with the SubD ZBrush competition. If you want to enter the compo for some nice prizes just visit SubDand give it a go. Beware the english sense of irony though near the end.
Enjoy

darthwayne, i’m surprised no one wrote about this, i found it useful, and thanks, my only observation is that it probably would’ve shown more if the changes between the before and after were more extreme, the title seems to indicate to me that you’d be able to completely change the lighting, which i suppose could be done with an alpha and PS’s light setup? but i loved your other compositing video you released as well.

I’m glad you found it of use (also its nice to have one thank you out of the two thousand odd downloads of this so far that my logs show lol.) Your right this is a powerful technique and can be used to totally relight a scene, you can take it as far as you need to for any render. The video was obviously a fast demonstration of how to do it for those who haven’t touched on things like this before.
