Hi,
I am doing some tutorials on z brush 2 and have a stupid question so apologies for all the advanced people out there.
I started a tutorial, saved it and now going back to it, am unable to select my object. Everytime I do I end up creating a new object. The move tool is shaded out as well. I know it is probably a case of select the correct option but cannot find it!
I thought perhaps to do with layers?
All I want to do is select my object to carry on editing it.

When you bring a new object in make sure to press the edit button in the upper lefthand corner (right in between the projection master and draw button)
what if i am opening a document,with the saved model? when i do so, the option to edit is shaded out and cannot select the model i have started already.
does this mean i need to save the object everytime as a tool. as this seems to be the only way i can reimport it so i can edit it.

I’m not an expert myself but I think you need to save objects as ZTools if you want to continue to sculpt them later
You have to save the tools from the tool palette. The document is just the 2.5d image which cannot be converted back to a 3d object. When you want to come back you load the original tool from the tool palette. Remember then to immediately select edit.
