Venom! (wip)

Yesterday I started this model. Base mesh is imported to Zbrsush from Xsi.
It is done in 2 hours, it is a simple sketch.
I have been working on details, checking for anatomical proportions and volumes. I am very busy this week but I will post more soon :wink: [attach=114728]venom_01.jpg[/attach]

looking very good, I used to collect the spiderman comic books. I cannot wait to see the final product, keep it up.

That’s a very good start,
Dont know if this is your intention or anything else, but the wrist position/rotation looks a bit too pronounced (excuse my english :o).
Maybe just rotate them (roll) to the front, like most of Hulk models/drawings.

Not bad man, but you should step back down a level or two and nail down your form first. I know its more fun to do the details, but the model will turn out nicer if you save those for last.

slangford: Yes, you are right. I fixed some parts on previous subd level
(legs, deltoids and trapezius, i just added a lil of "inflat on arms and torso)
There is a lot of work to do on it yet.
Here I am enjoying with poses. :smiley:

Reminds me of a few characters in Gears of War, I’m sure its gonna turn out fantastic as its looking fine now…:+1:

AgentEnigma: Eheheh yes… it reminds to some characters of GOW… maybe to ā€œBrumackā€ as facial anatomy. Thanks for compliments, I’ll try to improve many details on it and to do a good final render.

Here is a quick turntable to show you my new matcap.
This matcap is very useful cause is too similar to Venom’s skin.
I created first material for light diffusion (A) and
sencond material to have some specular spots on moldel (B).
Switching Matcap parameters you can rotate the specular points of lights on model.
This video is done as example:

nice work pal! I’m not crazy about the arms anatomy tho, and also the feet… all the rest look very stylized and personalized and I like it. :slight_smile:
keep working on those parts I think it might come out really interesting!
