One question: I’m thinking of buying Vray for C4D, is it very similar between the applications, like between 3DSMax and Modo?

Sofar the Vray Max rendering looks so much better than that of your Vray Maya version.

I hope that was a quick render from Maya, because I am now rethinking of not getting Vray for Maya.

You should make your decisions based on your own experience because I did use different settings in Maya because i thought it looks better to me.
Vray is the same for any package I think.

I have been noticing more and more rendering from Vray for Maya recently and none of them stand up to Max’s version.

I guess it’s just try it and see for yourself then.

great work! could you post how you do the eyes as well?

I use same shader for the eyes as for the head skin with the little difference in specular where I use color texture of the eye for specular color. Eye is composed from inner sphere for the eyeball and outer for glossy layer and lens with full transparency and IOR index of 1.3.

I am not a max user, so could i be really cheeky and ask if you could make the scale/skin setup file for maya? ,it would be very usefull for me as i’m new to lighting and setups for rendering correctly ,thanks
