UVWs, Polypainting and other issues

Hey Guys,

I have a model that is about 1.5 million polys that has been created in Zbrush and unfortunately, I have deleted all the lower subdivisions during the creation process. I have polypainted the model and now I want to bring the model into 3D Studio Max 2016/Marmoset. Here are the issues:

  1. I know the model needs to have UVs applied but the model is too heavy to unwrap using UVW master.

  2. The other issue is that when I try and use decimation master to get the model to a lower rez version so I can unwrap it by using UVW master, my poly paint disappears.

In short, how can I create a texture map from my polypaint and apply it to the low rez version of the model inside of max?

Thanks. I think destroying the lower subdivision levels has come back to haunt me. Yikes!

Instead using decimation master you could use Zremesher and then project back detail and polypaint.
