I used the new spotlight tool to create a texture on a model. I accidentally then deleted the Uvs. How can I get the Uvs back? Is there a way to export the model so that it would hold the texture? or just export texture? Please help… thanks!

HOW did you solve the problem, I’m having the same issue, only I painted before I created the uv’s
I dropped my model down to the lowest subdivision level. Import your base model if you have one, with the Uv mapping done. If you started in zbrush you will need to retopo and make uvs for that model. Either way once you import it in then you can take the model up to the highest subdivision level. Next go to tool/texture map and hit new from polypaint. This will put what u have painted on the model… then you can clone texture and export and it should be fine. Be prepared to make some minor adjustments to your uvs and I wouldnt recommend mirroring your Uvs. Hope this helps…
