Can we transfer UV from one object(tool) to another if their shape is the same or(and) vertics have the same count.
That would have to be done with a UV mapping program.
For example I had made a base mesh in maya but hadn’t made the UV.Then I imported the model in zbrush and shaped it so that it had a lot of details.
Next I understood that I couldn’t transfer the displaysment mesh(did’t have the UV)
I could import the base mesh again in maya and make the UV,but what about the detailed one in zbrush?
I could import a high poly model in maya and a base, make the UV for a base,smooth the UV and then transfer it to the detailed model(the same count of polies)but maya could’t work with 3 mil of polies…
