Uv Uv Uv!!!

Not long ago, I realize I spent more time in Zbrush than spent time in Maya to do my character modeling/sculpting. And I counter a software that people may familiar with call 3D-Coat, which a Zbrush-like software. But the different is it has a function for unwrap the UV, which similar to roadkill, you select edge and it unwrap the way you want, and pack them all like UVLayout/Maya pack function.

I hope they can add that to Zbrush so that it able to generate UV for human friendly without go back to other software to do the job. A plugin act like that will be fine (unless roadkill support Zbrush instead of Maya lol)

Zbrush has symetry and pull verts function, it shouldn’t be an issue to select edge to unwrap the UV no?

Indeed that would be nice. I recently read a article on cgtalk about a plugIn for Zbrush called ProUV. Havent tested or checked this out but maybe that helps u a little…

The newest version of ProUV is only compatible with 3.5R2 and 32-bit Windows only. More info at http://speedy.rs/prouv/

I see the advantage for poly paint, but I still like the traditional look for UV that look like the object proUV just looks like the improvement for GUV/AUV
cut the part where I want w/o create unnecessary scene is till the top choice

Consider UV Layout or Modo for traditional UV editing and load the UVs into Zbrush. PUV tiles are generally the best automated method for Zbrush which tend to give the most maximal and least distortion approach.
