UV Texture Not reading?

I was following a tutorial and it involved creating a texture.I turned
off Zadd and applied different colors and alphas.The man in the tutorial
then went over to tools and selected texture and then pressed

Col>Txr and his uv map had been transferred to the left side in texture.

When I selected Tools/Texture ,It was off so I <enabledUV

I selected col>txr and it picked up nothing but blank.
I then pressed txr>col and my figure turned black. :qu:

so is their a spec requirement or a preference I need to adjust?

When UV’s are disabled, they’re actually deleted from the model. So after enabling them again, you also need to assign mapping to the model.
