UV missing half the polygons

Hey there. I was working on a model recently, and I am stuck on a problem.
The model is made out of 4 parts. 1 is body, and 3 is attachment sets. All of them were created in the same excact way. I would make simple mesh inside 3ds max, unwrap it and export in to zbrush as OBJ.

Now 3 parts worked fine, while one bugged out somehow. When I run UV check on this part, it seems like every second triangle inside of a quad is missing, but only in the UV map. The mesh itself is fine.

I have no idea what caused this because all of the other parts are fine, and everything was made in same workflow. here is a screenie to discribe the problem

I tried re exporting. moving UV’s in place etc… Now if I export UV’s back from zbrush in to 3ds max, and redo them from ground up - it solves the problem… but I am more curious to what causes this to prevent further irritation.

  1. Make sure that # of Digits is set to 6 in Max’s export options.
  2. Also in Max, you may need to reset the xform of the model.

thank a lot =) reseting xform helped… though i have to redo the whole model from ground up =(

oh well, at least this is solved.
