UV Master > Work on Clone > Flatten> No sculpt details, just blank

Greetings everyone. I hope someone will help me find out what’s the issue.

I have a simple mesh that was unwrapped in maya and imported into zbrush. It was promptly subdivided and sculpted on.

I’ve recently learned to bake out maps by using the Flattening feature in UV Master after hitting Work on Clone.

Previously on other meshes, the sculpt details would still be on the flattened UV layout. I would then render maps from there with certain matcaps.

However my problem now is after hitting “Work on Clone”, copying and flattening the UV map (it was already unwrapped in Maya) there are no sculpt details. It’s blank. I don’t know if I forgot to hit a button that I hit before that made it work. I’m stumped.

Thanks everyone for your time.

Hi,
I don’ t know if it can help you,
but what I can say is that UvMaster ‘work on clone button send a clone with the lowest subdivision only.
This means that you can’ t see any details because of the low number of polygones.

I can also say that in 'Tool menu, 'Uvmap you can find 'morph uv that enable you to 'visualy unwrapp your (already unwrapped ) mesh, with its subdivision.

ps:After writing all this, I am thinking that in fact, maybe it would be more effective to just 'copy the uv (copy button of UvMaster)
then go back to your original subtool with its subdivision, then just hit 'paste button of UvMaster.
You will be able to generate & export all your textures (cavity, diffuse, normal, etc)
Maybe is it what you wanted to do ?

edit:
ps: when you say:
" there are no sculpt details. It’s blank. "
do you mean there are no colors ?

if yes, if it is the blank mesh that hurted you, then remember it is just a clone.
A clone without color information because you have the possibility to use 'control painting.
Thus,
after unwrapping, just clic on 'copyUV and go back to your original subtool (with all its subdivisions, colors, sculpt details, etc)
and then just clic paste (always from uv master).
