UV Master: Why is there a seam here?

The picture really explains everything. I painted it to be protected on the front of the face, attracted a seam on the back and have the head as it’s own polygroup, yet I’m getting a seam in the front of the face exactly where i painted it to be protected. This has happened before and it doesnt always mess up like this but does anyone know if I’m doing something wrong?

Thanks a lot.

1) Try painting the Attract color larger/wider. Broad areas are better than thin lines.

  1. In some cases a model’s topology requires a seam in the protected area. That doesn’t appear to be the case with this model, and the first suggestion should resolve your problem. It’s just something to be aware of.

Oh okay. I gotcha. Thanks for your response. I’ll definitely give it a whirl.
