UV Master Trouble

Hi all,

I need help with getting my UV’s set up.

Here is what I tried:

Set lowest sub-div (from 9M to 500K poly’s)

Go to UV master > clone: (not everything becomes white, is that the problem?)

(with or without control painting) UV unwrap:

When I use z-remesher, clone, it does work… however I have no idea how I get that UV map on my original model.

I want to make the UV map, so I can paint this model in Mari (on a lowres version of my model) and then apply that UVmap
in Maya on my highres model.

I’m willing to share my project if needed.
I have done this before with other models, but now it doesn’t work.

I don’t believe UV master supports over 15k polygons, which I’m guessing is your problem.

Anyway, duplicate your mesh, use Zremesher on the duplicate to lower your tri count. subD the duplicate up and use project all to get your details back.

Now unwrap your duplicate and you should be good to go.

Could you tell me how to exactly do that? I don’t think I used the right command to duplicate, etc…

select your mesh
tool>subtool>duplicate (CTRL+D)
