UV Master on primitives operates strange

Can anybody tell me, what I am doing wrong?

Just got the UV Master plug-in and started playing around. On complex organic models I got pretty fast reasonable results. But why the heck a simple clyinder of three polygroups (top, bottom, tube) produces this (see image)?

I tried different approaches, also the “protect” feature. But it generates allways the UVs of the circles in this pack-man style and the UV for the tube are not a rectangle.

Out of curiosity I tried a higher polygon cylinder and it became worse. The UVs for the circles became “flowers”.

UV Master internally use an iterative process and automatically stop, resulting in some case in what you have. In the next update, we may add an option to avoid this problem, but which will result in a longer computing.

Thank you for your answer,

but if more time is needed for primitives like my cylinder I would recommend some “switch on/off” capability for such a feature. On other geometries the results were pretty good and fast. Don’t want to miss that.

Yes, an option
