UV master is not working (stuck at Cutting handle)

Hello everyone,

I’m writing here because I really need some help, I’ve been searching the internet for hours but I haven’t found any solution to this annoying problem. As you may imagine, I can’t use the UV Master: I’ve been following a tutorial about how to sculpt some rocks, first I created a rock mesh with 3Dcoat and then I imported it into zBrush to add some details. After the sculpting process is finished the tutorial proceed into unwrapping a low poly version of the model, but when I try to do so, zBrush get stuck at “cutting handle”, when I started writing it was at 20500/3, now it’s 33000/3. Is there something wrong with my model or it’s a bug? Apparently no one had nor solved this problem in the whole internet, just a a few people but no solution was provided.

I’m thinking about starting all over again since the process is still running now (41200/3) and it will probably go on forever if I don’t stop it with the ESC key…

If anyone has an advice or a solution, that would be great.

That is usually a sign of a corrupt mesh. Run the “Mesh Integrity>Fix Mesh” and try UV’ing again.

@dillster Thank you so much, your solution worked fine and I was finally able to unwrap my mesh. You helped me and probably a lot of other people out there, since there is no documentation about this problem at all.
