UV Master Help needed!

Hi,

I’m having trouble creating symmetrical UV’s for this face using UV Master. The main problem is the hiar part. I tried splitting the face and hair region into different suntools, but where the face unwraps evenly, the hair region is still a right mess. Can anyboy suggest a better way of dealing with this? Thanks

You’ll need to use a different UV solution. UV Master was not created with that in mind. It’s philosophy is to simply get a great unwrap with little effort or know-how. For something where you want specific results like mirroring you need a more technical UV mapping option.

Thanks for the reply Aurick. Ok, atleast I know I wasn’t doing anything wrong with UV Master. I’ve heard that the UV tools on Blender are quite good, so I’ll have a look there.

i use 3d-coat to unwrap most of my meshes in my production pipeline

I’ve heard 3D Coat is very intuitive. How does it compare to Unwrella and Headus?

i use 3d coat in my pipeline because i can retopo a my high poly mesh and unwrap my uv layout very fast.
