hi when I export my model back to 3dsmax after ive created my displacement map my maps from zbrush dont align properly on my model within max why is that happening? i used uvmaster for the mapping
flip your texture vertically. for some dumb reason, zbrush uses upside-down textures, and it’s been that way since the beginning.
thanks i did that but that doesnt seem like the issue
Don’t forget to post some screenshots. Without them, it’s hard to figure out where the problem come from
let me guess, the issue that your UV is the one who is upside down.
@eldee. actually the other 3d app is the one who have flipped uv, not ZBrush
guys its not the flipping issue please see screenshot to see what the error looks like
thanks noobvee
i had applied uv unwrap in 3dsmax and yes u were right max 4 some reason flips the uvs
why does this occur and how can you avoid it or do you have to keep manually flippin it
well you can just flip the uv before you export it in ZBrush go to Tool>UV Map then click the Flip Vertically button, the make sure you turn on the Mrg in Tool>Export rollout to make sure the vertices wont break.
