uv and hi resolution

hi to all,
i made a low poly model in 3ds, but i forgot to make uv, now i have completed my model hipoly in zbrush and i want render it in 3ds, using low poly and displacement. the question :
is it possible to swith to sub div level 1, export model, make uv with 3ds or other prog, reimport the model (with uv) into zbrush and take the higher sub lev of the old model?

that’s exactly what you do

if you’re using max 2009, set the zbrush standard on export, then turn off everything but UV coords, if you don’t your mesh will explode
