Using polygon strips from any mesh to stretch / shape Micromesh or Nanomesh?

If you apply a micromesh form to a polygon strand created by fibermesh it will stretch the micromesh form along the length of that strand’s polygons. If you then export the strand created by fibermesh out then reimport it back in the default behavior of the micromesh reverts back to creating a micromesh created per polygon.

Is there a way ( as with the fibermesh ) to tag a row of polygons derived from a standard mesh (to act as a method of bending/ stretching a form to a specified shape ) rather than the default behavior of inserting a mesh per polygon?

The same too for nanomesh - can a nanomesh using Zmodeller be inserted to stretch across multiple selected polys rather than per poly?

Many thanks

Don’t panic Boozy, there’s an answer coming.
What if nobody wants to tell me the bad news?
Breath Boozy breath.

That’s a little bit way out there for me to help. Wish I could. Just keep treading water a bit longer.

Nanomesh Nanos can be set to fit (stretch ) the polygon shape, or simply use them as placement targets .

I suppose I could use Zmodeller to alter the shape of the polygons - this would work on flat polys but not stretching to fit around curving forms that need edges.

or simply use them as placement targets

Not sure what you mean by this in context.
