Using Dynamesh without mesh insert dot?

Hello. I’m new to dynamesh and I want to do a subtraction of a mesh using a subtool I made using shadow box. It’s actually a mouth bag. It’s already in place and it would be silly if I’d have to use mesh insert dot to place another mouth bag all over again on the face in order to make a subtraction using dynamesh. Is there any way I can merge the head and the mouth bag into one subtool and use dynamesh to subtract it from the mesh? I already tried it with zsub on and it doesn’t work. Am I doing something wrong or can this be done this way?

You are adding a mouth bag only to subtract it from the head, I don’t get it. Try posting a bigger picture showing both subtools and describe better what you want to make. Or merge your subtools using Boolean subtract in the subtools pallet. I thinks you have to append the resulting mesh. Try each Boolean option beside the subtool you are using to subtract I think might help you.
