i’m pretty new to zbrush, just bought it the other week. I’m also working in cinema4d and managed to get the basic workflow working fine with goz. And the output is for animation rather than games.
I’m finding that displacement isn’t really capturing high enough detail even at 4k. The quality’s good but pore detail is getting lost. I’ve also tried exporting a normal map which takes care of this fine detail, trouble is its doubling up the effect of the displacement in the broader areas of detail. I feel like i should be exporting the details from the low to mid range of the mesh as a displacement to get the outline and shape and then the mid to high details as a normal map to get the fine stuff. Anyone got a good workflow for this?
