Using Alphas - making a realistic skin

Hi,

I’m sculpting a head in zbrush for my graphics 1 class. I need to find out how people use alphas to make like skin poes. I have used pojectio nmaster, but when i do it kind of smooths itself out (if i use single layer brush). It goes as teh alpha fo the first stroke, but after that it just smooths out almost. I’m confused!

how do i use alphas that i have made to apply to my face to make it have pores?

thanks!

Don’t use Projection Master. Just use the alpha with a brush (from the Brush palette) and sculpt.

You’ll get different results based on the particular brush that you use, as well as the Stroke type and settings. Try experimenting with the Spray, DragDot, and DragRect stroke types, as well as the Stroke>Roll option.

Also, make sure your mesh is subdivided enough to support the effect you want.
