hey guys i used uv master and it worked very well, the texture shows up on it great in 3ds max but it wont render properly as it says i have no uv coordinates, is there any easy solution to this ?
Did you use GoZ or did you import manually? I would try exporting manually, make sure you see uv’s with your texture map prior to export, and then assemble it manually in 3DS Max. I know if the texture isn’t exported properly that Maya doesn’t bring in the UV’s either.
there is no texture on it, i just want the mesh uv’d
[SUB]You still need to have uv’s created and the texture box checked for Zbrush to export the uv’s with the obj. Just to be safe I would put a base color for a texture, then export the obj. You can always delete the texture info in a snap after you import the obj into 3DS Max or Maya. (If you use GoZ it will create a blinn or lambert with the texture layer that you can delete. If you are just importing the obj, simply delete the texture file that Zbrush created.)[/SUB]
