Urgent! Please Help- Zmapper Problem??

Hi,

I really hope someone can help me with this issue im having with Zbrush’s Zmapper – Basically i have a low poly destroyed piece of ground (see image attached) - and UV’ed, took it into Zbrush, did a quick rough high poly test, went into Zmapper – (so far everythings working without a hitch), hit ‘create normal map’ – it starts to generate the normal map, everything looks totally normal and fine…and then BAM, it ends up getting glitched out like the image i included…

anyone have any ideas whats going on? This may be a ‘n00b’ question, so hopefully someone can help~~!!!

Are your UV’s entirely within the 0,0 to 1,1 space with no overlapping? It doesn’t really look like it in your screen shot of the UV’s, which could explain what’s happening.

is there any overlap in your UVs? Is there a bottom to that mesh?

no bottom to the mesh. i’ve tried doing new uv’s that dont overlap and i still get issues?

hmm…I’m at a loss, but Zmapper was always funky in my opinion. I use xNormal to do all of my baking so that is what I would suggest.
