Hey, been awhile since I’ve used Zbrush, just updated today and noticed that some old models I’ve collected over time keep making it crash with the error ‘Abnormal Termination’.
I’ve kept the old zip files of the models (never been edited) and unzipped over them just to see, but nope still keeps crashing.
Is there any repair or a way to get them to work?
Cheers.
how old are the files? I am assuming you’re talking about .ztl files? What version where they originally generated in?
Thank you for the reply.
Yes they are .ztl files, I’m pretty sure they were the free models when Pixologic had them to download from their download centre, anyway the date on the zip is 2009 if that gives any idea to what version.
2009…i think those are 3.1 or 3.5. No clue if those will open correctly or not anymore. Taking what you’re saying, I’m going to go with a no. But if you want to upload the file I can pull it down and take a look.
It’s only small, it should just be the zsphere outline of a dragon.
I used to start with this and then start shaping.
crashes instantly for me as well.
The original file is acrtually for version 2. ZSpheres have changed quite a bit since then, though the file opened OK for me.
Try this version:
Trying to draw it out just crashed on me but I was able to append it to a cylinder with SubTool Master: Multi Append.
Thank you all for trying, that pixdragonr46 looks pretty much what I had before.
Thank you everyone for your help
