OK, this may sound a little convoluted but it’s pretty straight forward. I hope someone can point out a fix for my problem or at least confirm that it is a bug.
My work-flow is:
- Import cage of object.
- Select the Suv button, just in case.
- S-Divide model 10 times ( to about 4.8 million) to get desired rez.
- Deform the model and add detail to get final object.
- Export S-div level 6 mack into Maya and relax the UVs as ZB’s “Suv” button does’nt seem to work.
- Inport the UV edited file back into ZB at S-div level 6.
- Uv Check the model and all is fine. The new UVs carried across fine.
- Export S-Div level 6 mesh as OBJ.
- Export displacment map useing Multi Displacement 3 and bump map using the Displacement map generater.
- Check Uvs again and they have reverted to orginal UVs.
There are 4 SubTools in the file with a combined poly count of 9.4 million polygons.
This computer’s spec is Dual-Core AMD Opteron 2.20 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Windows XP Profesional x64 Edition
