Untransposing a model?!?

I got a tricky question for those who might have a solution!!!

Ok here’s the fuzz : I need to put back in T-stance a posed character (only one subtool/mesh, since it’s an anatomy study).

I have the basemesh of the character already in T-stance as an OBJ and in a ZTL file I have the character all sculpted but posed.

How can I put back the completely sculpted anatomy but in the initial T-stance from the OBJ?

In the ZTL file, I tried to import the OBJ and transfer the highres details to this OBJ but it just makes the model explode (BTW, I didn’t play with the model so they should have the same vertex numbers and all)

I didn’t do it yet, but I was thinking somehow of unwrapping the model, copied the UVs to the final model and transfering the information by displacement map… but honestly I have noooo idea if it’s even possible.

Can somebody help me with this? Any suggestions?

Did you get an answer for this yet? Cos if not, import the mesh and load the tool, run uvw master and copy and paste the uvws to both models. Create a disp map from the high detail model and clone it. Then select the t-pose model, go to disp map drop box. Select the disp map and apply the displacement map. Done…I think. Now the high details should be carved into the t-pose model.

thats basically what i ended up doing

Yeah, I figured you would have worked it out by now, but hey, you never know.
