Unified Skin from Zspheres not working in R3

Hi, I sometimes prefer to convert zspheres into a unified skin as opposed to an adaptive skin in many cases (especially when there is a form that branches out and connects back in upon itself like a tube or arm that has a hand on a hip, ect…)

In zbrush 3.1, I find this working the best,…in 3.5R2, it is a little harder to get a simple skin that wraps around the form of the spheres…but in R3, I find that it is completely broken…whenever I want to convert a zsphere into a unified skin that is not generated through the ‘zsketch’ method, then I simply find a strange bulbous geometric shape in my tool pallete as opposed to something with a skin neatly wrapped around the volume the of the zspheres I layed out…I actually use unified skin quite a bit, so I’m hoping there is just some setting that I have wrong,…

If anyone has suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it,…

thanks,

In R3…

While in ZSpheres mode, Press A to generate an adaptive preview. Then press “Subtool:ReMesh all” to have a new Unified skin added as a subtool.

Note 1: In R3, you can use the “Subtool:ReMesh all” to generate unified skin for any combination of ZSpheres, PolyMesh3D and parametric subtools objects.

Note 2: In R3, after generating a unified skin from ZSphers, you can select the new subtool and click “Project All” to project the ZSpheres volume to the new unified skin.

ok,…ye, I figured it would be something along those lines…I tried hitting previewing adaptive skin, then hitting unified skin,…but I should have just reached for the remesh button…cool, thanks for the quick response…
