Great work, man. I loved Tekkon Kinkreet! Thought about doing them myself, but it’d be tough to compete now

Eiad: Thank you. It’s rendered in zbrush with a basic real time material and one light source.

mutte696: thanks man, I enjoy a lot doing this kind of stuff.

Hey Andrei! Cheers!

rodion vlasov: thanks ! Keep it up

asecbrush: thanks!

nizza_waaarg: yeah I agree with you. I haven’t thought much about it when I took the stylistic decision. Maybe I’ll arch them a bit when I’ll do the retopo pass. If that doesn’t work I’ll remodel them. Thanks

arun nagar: thank you!

GE_GRAZE: haha, thanks! Those are done through out the years, one bit of a time, nothing special.
About clothing, Glenn Vilppu has a good video on drapery where you can pick up the basic fold types. After that is all about observation and practice. Try to find the patterns that the cloth is making; the size, direction and frequency of the folds depending on the area where they form. If you cut a cross section, see what kind of profile the fold has and see what are the differences between different fabric types.
I get most of my reference from google images, but you can also look at the sleeve that falls onto your arm, or go and look into the mirror. Dress yourself with something similar to your character and take some photos. Make a clothing reference folder on your hdd and save there any image you come across that you think it will be useful someday. After a few models you will get a hang of it.
I don’t have a lot to do with the industry at the moment. I’ve been looking for a job for a while without much luck. Lately I’m enjoying the time that I have to explore other areas than 3d.

highlander_72: thank you!

nerveink: thanks man, glad you like them!

rasmusW: haha, I hope to finish these first. I’ll have to to some studies on the colors, but I think the values will be in the same range they are now.

Disco Stu: awesome sauce is awesome

Nattawat_OBBI: thanks!

Ville: thanks!

3d70mohamedaly: thanks!

pOiNtPuShEr: thanks man

manzarek123: thank you!

RawSunlight: thanks man! I loved the book and I have to see the film these days. You should definitely go ahead and do them.

You have a great stuff here! that last work is really cool, nice design:+1:

What is basic real time material and one light source??? are you serious???
Could you explain how you achieved that rendering? <img src=“http://www.zbrushcentral.com/pixo/atn.gif”>
Wow, I can’t take my eyes away from the character. Very very brilliant.

Thanks Maxter!

Eiad: I’ve attached the material and the lighting setup used. Hope it helps.ano_render_setup.zip (12.4 KB)

Great character, I love the balance and proportions. The cloth looks great as usual with your models.

I’m a big fan
