Undoz's Sketchbook (slight nudity)

Undoz: Excellent work in this thread, those last 3 sketches are stellar, have a very fluid and shapely feel to them. Will be watching for more.

you know what  this is great, looks like sculptures form old masters :+1:

what make me :grimacing:amazed:grimacing: is
how could you make your sculpt looks so real
without using any texture/color ?

My word, your lothing wrinkles are out of this world well done.
I must learn to do at least something half as good!

guillom: thanks man! I’m keeping my eye on your sketchbook

Ville: - “wasting time” and “not practicing” - haha, those are exactly my words man, you read my mind. I need a reboot for sure. Thanks for the support, and cheers!

Nattawat_OBBI: thank you!

Hey Brett! Thanks buddy, will do so

Thanks AngelJ! I wasn’t very sure about those and I’m glad that you find them so.

wizz: thanks man! hmm, I’d love to try clay some day.

dhasian: don’t know exactly  you can try to play with the forms by observing the shadow patterns, like you would do on a drawing when you block the shadow areas. You have to be careful because you can get too far away from the original 3d form.

Conniekat8: I’m sure that you will! It’s only practice and observation.

Here’s a new sculpt done in the same way as the others … it’s in a pretty much raw state. No particular reference used.
It’s called “Waiting”

Awesome work as always. Great job with the cloth and folds. The suit is well done, its got form and rigidity, but still feels like cloth. :+1:

I thought it would be a sculpt by you from the thumbnail!
So yeah … i guess thats a very good sign

hey Andrei, you are very very good at cloth modeling. it’s amazing!
some tips about this would be great

thanks

Calin

Great job. That latest piece is very nice, the wrinkles and face look good. Keep them coming !!

Very nice! I like the model, the pose, the wrinkles, and the lighting on your “Waiting” sculpt. :+1:
Although, I do think the pant cuffs should hang/drape more on the shoes. and the bottom of the jacket also looks a bit starchy.

beautiful  though at first I thought it was JFK lol - the gun threw me off hehehe

as always, really awesome sculpt. Well done for the wrinkles of the suit.:+1:

nice sculpting…and nice work on the wrinkles… :+1:

I like these “raw-states” they show how well you master the main shapes/volumes in your sculpts. Very powerful.

very cool ! man, like your work all the time :+1: i can learn much from your sculpts  . I alway study your drapery, it’s very good:sunglasses:

Aberrant: Form was my main objective, thank you!
Disco Stu: hehe thanks!
Calin: I would say that you don’t have to train to sculpt clothing, but train to follow reference. Once you do that you will be able to create any surface there is. At the beginning focus more on quantity, because with each model you will improve. Thanks!
Ichiban: thanks!
Webhead: You are right about the hanging. The jacket had the same stiffness in the reference that I’ve used. I think suits look pretty odd in light colors. Thanks!
Intervain: thanks Magda! JFK and Bond kept poping in my head, but it was just coincidental. I have to say that the gun idea was from Reservoir Dogs.
Tarantony: thank you! I appreciate it.
O/MI: thank you!
Hey Etcher. I’m not so sure that I master them, but that’s my focus at the moment. I think the volume is the hardest to do, takes the longest to master and is the most important element. Thanks!
barbarossaX: Thanks for keeping an eye on my works! I appreciate it.

Here are some primitives and base mashes that I’ve made for my own use and I thought to share them. I think they are a bit more topology friendly than the ones from zbrush. Sorry, had to split the archive, 500kb limit.
And a quick portrait doodle.
