Undo topology brush crash

So I’m trying to use the topology brush to retopologize a model and it has been going great until just recently. Some how I have gotten to a point where anytime I try to undo a poorly placed curve zbrush crashes on me. I can carry on normally if I alt drag over the curve I want to undo instead but when I say miss snapping to a point and it creates an ngon by accident this is very frustrating as I have to redraw multiple quads to fix it.

The only issue I can think of that might be the cause is if zbrush can only handle so many triangles in the topology for some reason, meaning actually drawn out triangles not quads. But I find that pretty ridiculous since there only around 10 or so I have left in the model. But it seems from the file I have saved that I can undo curves until I draw one or two more triangles into the topology. Either that or just the amount of polys in the topology is too high or something, I dunno.

Still trying a lot of things to get past it because I’m about 70% done retopolgozing. Would really appreciate if anyone had an idea or two about why this is happening.

Thanks.

still having the previous issue but now the topology i’m drawing is just plain not working and breaking topology i drew on other areas of the model for some reason.

has anyone had any similar issues with the topology brush?
