Undo (cmd+z) doesn't work sometimes...

The problem is that every now and then, the undo keyboard shortcut just stops working. I close and restart ZBrush and it often fixes it. I haven’t noticed anything I do which could start the problem, such as a change of settings or the CAPS lock being on – it just seems to happen…

This is something I’ve mentioned previously, but I haven’t managed to figure out what could be causing it… I’ve seen one or two posts about the same issue elsewhere, but nobody has given a proper answer to it yet, so I thought I’d bring it up again as I still get this quite often. Other shortcuts might be affected, but for the time being I’ve only noticed it with the undo command.

Maybe you ran out of memory or a hard disk space?

Neither… I’ve got plenty of free space and I always keep an eye on my free memory with iStat Pro…

This has been around for a while and there is a fix. I’m on PC but I think it’s the same on a Mac. Just add the following lines to your ZStartup/Hotkeys/Hotkeys.TXT file

[EDIT:UNDO,634] // Ctrl+Z

[EDIT:TOOL:UNDO,634] // Ctrl+Z

[EDIT:REDO,890] // Ctrl+Shift+Z

[EDIT:TOOL:REDO,890] // Ctrl+Shift+Z

Strange… Maybe the installation went wrong? I would deactivate, unnistall and install again if nothing else would work.
Try to contact the support via Pixologic site maybe?

I’ll add those lines to my hotkey.txt and let you know how I get on, thanks…
