The pilgrim is able to travel through hell, but in order to do that he needs to kill himself every time. Once in hell his body will start to decompose, but his eyes will keep the same, the eyes represent the soul and doesn’t change.
His armour tells the story of a witch that gave birth to snakes, and because of that was burned at the stake.
The witch was the only one capable of traveling through hell, and after her death she became a god like entity, being idolized for dark sorceries and clans everywere.
The design and story are original.
Everything was hand sculpted in ZBrush, the texture is a mix of hand paint (Polypaint) and Substance painter.
This character was my final project at CDI college.
