I’d like to apologize in advance if this has been answered elsewhere. If it has, please post a link since my search netted me zero. To tell the truth, I’m not even sure how to ask this question, so bear with me as I muddle my way through it…
It’s understandable that GoZ can jump between other apps with a click of the GoZ button (Maya in my case), but I was wondering about it’s workflow:
Q1- Can I start in Maya, then go to ZBrush? I haven’t had any success doing it this way. ZBrush launches no-problem when I click GoZ, but it won’t pop back over to the original scene opened in Maya. Instead it launches a new Maya session, but not until a few error windows open first “unable to open/Create fileC:/User…etc.”, then Maya opens a blank scene.
Q2- Can I start with my own texture map then paint onto it? When the model/tool enters ZBrush, my UVs are intact but there isn’t a map, just a blank slate.
That’s all for now. Thanks for the help.
