Understanding Brushes and Strokes

I am having a problem right now using ZB 3.1 with varying Z intensity used between different brushes and strokes. First of all the Z intensity is set to 100. If I choose the Layer brush and use any of the strokes on the surface of an object I get a very strong brush stroke on the object (as I should). Now, if I switch to the Standard or Stitch1 all strokes except for the DragRec stroke are barely noticeable. Those are just a a couple examples. Why the sudden drop in Z intensity? I am using the stock settings for all of them btw.

I searched the forums to see if anyone else posted this problem before but i didn’t find any. If someone did post the problem with a solution please direct me to it.

Each brush has its own settings. Changing the Z Intensity with one brush selected will not affect any of the other brushes.

This is deliberate. One example of why is that if you have the Smooth brush set to values that you like, those values stay consistent every time you hold down Shift to temporarily activate the Smooth brush – no matter what brush and settings are selected at the time.
