Hi everyone,
I need to pose you a question about the best way to create a undead skin, but this model is for a animation.
First at all. I’d like to create a model like the one made by Nicolas Collings: http://collings.cgsociety.org/gallery/790036, at this time i have alredy done a skull, teeths, gums and muscles.
The main problem is the hollow zone on the cheek. Here you can find a test shot

As you can see the part that go inside the teeth could be good for a scultpure or still life shot, but i’d like to animate the face to reproduce speaking movements. So as the picture show the dark grey part will be shown right after the mouth opening movement .
I’have got 2 ideas to achieve/perform this effect:
-Using a opacity texture in this region of the face
-Deleting some polygons and go back in zbrush sculpt the region hiding the borders of the deleted polygons.
Any better ideas?
