Uncle Sam tool update....No2

Still going on this tool, it has been a bit of a tough one…mind swings etc.

Still this is where I am to date…about halfway there. More changes coming up on this model/tool.

The move tool with edit on has almost been worn out with this model, also I find I am using ‘inflate’ under the deformation menu a lot more. I have tried building models with the default resolution, but find I still prefer cranking resolution to the max.

This model has been a real learning experience. As I have said before…there is no need to model them to this degree, because the rendering process with the paint tools etc. can improve any short comings in the model. Still…I’m a stubborn little mouse holder…so I’ll see how far I can get with Uncle Sam. When it is finished it will be shipped off to Kruzr…who will add the sparkle of life to it. Once he has done that the tool will be posted on Digit’s Z-Place for all who care to have a play with it. That’s if I can finish it to my satisfaction. The first pic here looked so bad I placed a 2nd improved image below it.

Well I’m still going…changed a few things…if anyone is interested. Sorry Kruzr a little way to go yet,
Sphere denting (painting) is great…anyone else out there denting? I for one would like to see the results.

I’ll do another twenty or so more (‘dents’) heads then have a look at body bits…then move onto other aspects of the programme.

Any tips or pointers on denting about? I’m kinda working in the dark here.

It amazes me that, that thing above began life as a sphere.

Lookin good, of course your 1/4 finished models look finished to me  I can’t wait to see what Kruzr, the master of texture, can do with this.

Hey Digits…

Yep I’m looking forward to Kruzr’s rendition myself…heh, nothing like putting the guy on the spot

Digits…as a thankyou for placing these tools on your site, would you be interested in a tool caricature of yourself?
I would need a frontal colour jpeg, profile and 3/4 view of the thing on your neck. Also any indication of …shall we say ‘countenance habits’… email me if yes.

Hey Ed,

That is a really cool offer you’ve made Digits. I hope he takes you up on it
Hey Digits - what is that thing on your neck
:+1: :+1: :+1:

Here’s an experiment I have done. In it I was trying a different style of denting. I used 80 percent ‘move/edit’ and the inflate tool to try and create folds/wrinkles and hair…in all I figured different styles/techniques of Z modelling can be achieved.

In fact if you want true wrinkles I have discovered away to do it…I’ll show you how next post.

This one is ready to be sent now Digits…

This is great! I have placed Mr Wabbit here on Z-Place ready to download. I am looking forward to seeing myself set in Z-Stone in your masterful Ed the Atom Style, I will be proud of that for years to come, thanks man!

Say Ed, these models are amazing!
My face is turning purple, my mouth is only two pixels across, and my eyes are bugging out!
Dunno 'bout that bunny, looks ready to have a go for my neck.
I’d be interseted in hearing about those wrinkles, mine hae never acheived a very high level of rinkalism.
Thanks.
