Unable To Use Multiple Materials?

I download 2 materials from the library and want to use them on 2 different subtools in one file. I understand about Fill Object, but when I go to Fill Object on one mesh with 1 material then load the another different material, the object switches to that new material. It doesn’t do that when I select Zbrush materials but it does it when I load up different materials.

How do I load multiple materials in zbrush and assign them permanently on subtools mesh? Do I have to do something permanently keep the material, color on the subtools?

make sure M or MRGB is turned on…you probably only have RGB on

That didnt seem to work. Not matter what the other subtool changed to whatever Material I loaded up. How do you load up multiple materials in zbrush?

Thanks. BUT the instructions are for prebuilt materials in Zbrush.

Try this for me.

Download several mat http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/downloadcenter/library/
Then try loading those up and assigning them to several different subtools. See if the different materials stay on each assigned subtool. Because for me they don’t. Despite I Fill OBJ, the subtools that are not Zbrush prebuilt Materials get changed.

Any ideas why? I’m actually surprised no one has had this issue, so someone must be able to know to help?
