Unable to retain custom menus with certain buttons [Answered]

Hey there,

In ZB4 i made a bunch of menus that could be called upon with a hotkey. It would have my most used buttons and tools from various parts of the program. Some from the Tool > Geoemtry part, some from the polypaint subpallete etc.

If i make a custom menu in R2 alot of these wont save, some do others are left blank once i re-open zbrush.

What am i doing wrong that i did right in 4.0?

edit:// i think this is a report. Please delete or lock if so. Im headed to this thread and i think it will answer this problem.

Yes, you’ll need to download the UIStarter ZScript located at the bottom of the ZBrush 4R2 Troubleshooting FAQ post.

Thanks marcus, is there also a way to be able to drag the curve falloffs in custom menus? it is not possible either in the 4.0, but now it could be useful to change on the fly the settings of brushes like the curvetube…

It’s not possible to drag curves to a new position in a custom UI. What you can do, and may be useful, is to assign a hotkey to the curve. It will then pop-up at the cursor so that you can adjust it on the fly. However, none of the curve buttons/sliders will appear and you also have to make sure the curve is open in the palette as you can’t open it using the hotkey method.

Hi,

I was just wondering if the UIStarter plugin is still needed with the recent release of ZBrush 4R2B?
